NFL FLAG Referee/Official – Kansas/Missouri

Key responsibilities:

• Enforcing rules: Accurately applying flag football rules to determine if a flag is pulled, resulting in a down, and calling penalties for illegal plays. 

Player safety:

Monitoring for unsafe play and taking action to prevent injuries, including enforcing rules regarding contact and tackling. 

Game management:

Maintaining the flow of the game by making quick decisions, managing the clock, and communicating with the other officials. 

Decision-making:

Making impartial and timely calls on the field regarding penalties, scoring, and other game-related situations. 

Communication:

Clearly communicating calls to players, coaches, and other officials, providing explanations when necessary. 

Positioning:

Being strategically positioned on the field to have a clear view of the play and make accurate rulings. 

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of flag football rules and regulations (We provide training! No experience needed but preferred)
• Ability to make quick decisions under pressure
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with players and coaches
• Good athletic ability and understanding of the game
• Ability to maintain composure in challenging situations 

Work environment:

• Outdoor playing fields
• Varies depending on the league, including youth, young adult, or recreational levels
• May involve working in different weather conditions
